Getting started
Can I edit the exported CSV in Excel?
Yes. You can open exported CSVs in Excel, Google Sheets or any other CSV-compatible app.
Can I use the app for different metaobject types?
Yes. Select the metaobject type in the app before you import or export.
Do I still need to edit metaobjects in Shopify Admin?
No. Bulk changes run through CSV, and Shopify Admin is still there whenever you want to change a single entry.
Is the app useful if I only have a few metaobject entries?
It can be, but it’s designed for merchants who manage many metaobject entries and want to do it efficiently.
Importing & updating
Can I create new metaobject entries?
Yes. Add rows with new handles to your CSV and the app creates a new metaobject entry for each one.
Do I need separate CSV files for updating and creating entries?
No. You can update existing entries and add new ones in the same CSV.
What happens if I keep an existing handle?
The handle identifies the existing entry, so the app processes that row as an update to it.
What happens if I add a new handle?
The app uses the information in that row to create a new metaobject entry.
Can I import a large CSV file?
Yes. The app is built for bulk management, and the Pro and Scale plans add faster processing for large files.
Does the app validate my CSV?
Yes. CSV validation flags problems with your data — like missing required fields or broken references — before it’s processed.

How do I reference a Shopify product in my CSV?
Use the product handle in the relevant metaobject field — for example the-collection-snowboard-liquid.
How do I reference a Shopify collection?
Use the collection handle in the collection field.
Can I add Shopify files through CSV?
Yes. Copy the file’s URL into the CSV for any file field.
Can I use handles instead of product and collection IDs?
Yes. Product and collection references both accept handles, so your CSV stays readable and you never need to look up IDs. See the CSV format guide for every field type.
Jobs & usage
Where can I monitor an import or see past jobs?
In the All Jobs section of the app, which tracks every import and export you run.
How can I check my current usage?
The dashboard shows your total jobs, export jobs, import jobs and remaining free imports.
Plans & billing
How many imports can I use for free?
The Free plan includes 5 CSV imports. Pro includes 50, and Scale is unlimited — compare plans.
Are CSV exports included?
Yes. CSV exports are unlimited on every plan, including Free.
How am I billed?
Paid plans are charged in USD every 30 days through your Shopify bill.
